Marriage is not the end
marriage can never be the end
for it to be the end is for love to be the end and love is not the end
well
love is the end but it is also the beginning
it is also the end
it is everything
it is the spiral
it is the heart I make with my thumb and forefinger
it is the world I wish to give
it is the ouroboros inked on my shoulder
it is the wine I make with others
it is the grapes I buy for that wine
it is everything
it is divine
it is sublime
it is overwhelming
I am overwhelmed by it and I must surrender
I must surrender to it above all else for it has changed me
for I wish to be changed
for I wish to change us all
for I wish to shape us into the arc of the moral universe
for I wish to recreate the divine in our image because we are divine
I am divine
I am powerful
I am so so powerful because I have been changed
because I change
because I love
because I know it is not the end
because I know marriage is not the end
because I know the way the sunshine gleams from my wedding band
